This contains the lectures notes for MAT 201 taught by Robert G. Petry in
the fall of 2010. Note that for Unit 4, the
statistics unit, the source material is in the
stat_201_220 transparent copy which
has been compiled to produce the descriptive_stats_mat_201_eddt.pdf
unit which has been copied to this directory. A copy of it has been
called Unit_4.pdf for consistency with the other naming.

The .fig images were made with xfig. I used a convoluted process
to turn them into straight pdf images despite their containing LaTeX commands.
The better thing to do is to export them as Latex+PDF (both parts) and then
input the image. An example of this is the feature_irreg_func.fig image
which was done this way. See Unit_1.tex for how I input it and resized it.

To compile the documents, just run (for example)
pdflatex Unit_1.tex
a few times to produce Unit_1.pdf with correct references. There are no
asymptote diagrams in the document but .asy files are created because
my lectures.sty file uses the asymptote package so technically asymptote is
required. If asymptote diagrams are created (see the stats notes for examples)
then you would have to run
pdflatex Unit_1.tex
asy Unit_1
pdflatex Unit_1.tex
for example.
